Art Of Living
"The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
― Pablo Picasso
Ever feel that dread on Sunday, knowing the work week is about to start? That groan you hear isn’t just noise—it’s a signal that something’s off.
Most of us live for the weekend, slogging through a daily routine that makes us feel drained at the end of the day.
This isn’t how life was meant to be.
Industrialization brought us the 40-hour work week, and with it, the grind.
We clock in, go through the motions, and clock out. We’ve become predictable, our routines a yawn, our phones the only escape we have from our repetitive existence.
But what if there was a way out?
What if you could break free from the mundane and feel something new? That escape exists, and it's called Art.
As a traveling photographer, I believe in the Art of living.
I escape the mundane to live a thrilling life, as an Artist. With the camera as my compass, my Art is the journeys I take to remote places. It's not just the photographs you see on social media, it's the stories I capture that helps me speaks when words fall short.
Editing photos helps me remember these stories and allows me to interpret those emotions into color and light and shadows.
The adventure and editing is a playground for my soul, a space to remain curious and play in, a concept most adults abandon far too soon in life.
The Art of Living is about more than just taking risks, it's about leading with value, being true to ourselves, and building our lives around what we genuinely love.
It’s about rejecting the grind and choosing to live with purpose and passion.
Instead of letting life dictate your days, embrace Art, surround yourself with it, go create something even if it turns out horrible.
Art is an outlet for self-expression and experimentation, a way to truly live rather than just exist.
Don’t let the grind erase your humanity.
Pick up a brush, a pen, a guitar, anything. Art makes me remember the childhood feeling of being so excited at the end of the day that I didn't want to sleep.
Art isn't just for Artists. It's for everyone who's ever felt the weight of the world on their shoulders and needed a way to lighten it for a bit.
